Fatal Ventura County crash death of Jovanni Ponce – Obituary
Jovanni Ponce, 22, tragically lost his life in a car accident that took place on December 1st near Deer Creek Road in Ventura County. His body was discovered on December 7th after the vehicle had fallen down an embankment.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash involved a Cadillac Escalade, which went off the road about two miles above Pacific Coast Highway. According to a surviving passenger, the accident occurred around 2 a.m., but the incident was not reported until the afternoon of December 2nd. The terrain in the area is known for its sharp turns and steep drops, making the crash particularly dangerous.
As of Friday, the cause and manner of Ponce’s death were still under investigation. One person believed to have been in the vehicle with him remains missing. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
