Fatal Wormhout shooting death of Paul Dekeister – Obituary

Paul D., 22, tragically ended the life of his former employer, 29-year-old Paul Dekeister, in a brutal attack that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the village of Wormhout, near Dunkirk. The attack, described by local sources as a targeted assassination, took place at Dekeister’s home in front of his wife and two children.

The assailant, identified as Paul D., is said to have arrived at Dekeister’s farmhouse around 3 p.m. He shot and killed Dekeister in front of his family. Dekeister had previously employed the suspect in a security role, but the two were reportedly involved in a dispute.

Following the murder, Paul D. drove toward the migrant camp near Loon-Plage, where he harbored a deep-seated resentment toward the migrants. His next victims were two Kurdish men, ages 19 and 30, reportedly of Iranian descent. He shot both of them at point-blank range, leaving them with no chance to survive.

One of the survivors, 25-year-old Matin, described the horrifying scene: “At first, we thought the gunman would shoot into the air, but then he loaded his weapon and aimed at us. We saw Azrael, the Angel of Death. We faced death twice in a single day, but somehow, we survived.”

The rampage continued when Paul D. killed two security guards working for the Eamus Cork Security company. Marc Lehmus, 37, and Aurélien Cugny, 33, both fathers, were shot while patrolling the northern French coastline to assist the police.
