Jamarcus Lett, a 24-year-old motorcyclist, was identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office as the victim of a fatal accident in Lakewood on December 11. The cause of death was listed as blunt-force trauma to the neck, and the incident has been ruled accidental.

The crash occurred near the intersection of South 84th Street and Pine Street South just before 1 p.m. Responding officers arrived to find the motorcycle on fire, according to reports from The News Tribune.

Authorities said that another vehicle, heading east on South 84th Street, attempted to turn left to go north and collided with Lett, who was traveling westbound. CPR was administered at the scene, but Lett did not survive. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
