Fatal Smithfield car crash death of Austin Dean – Obituary
Austin Dean, a 20-year-old resident of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, succumbed to injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Putnam Pike in Smithfield, Rhode Island, on Monday, December 16.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near 777 Putnam Pike, according to Smithfield police. Dean, who was driving one of the vehicles, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with critical injuries but later passed away.
The driver of the second vehicle and a juvenile passenger were also injured. They were taken to Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The Smithfield Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
