Cornelius Smith, 37, was fatally shot on December 11, 2024, at the Forrester Gardens Apartments in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The shooting occurred around 11 a.m., according to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
Authorities have identified 50-year-old Cedric McClinton Jr. as the suspect in the case. Warrants have been issued for McClinton, charging him with murder, attempted murder, and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.
