Fatal West Haven car crash death of Panjala Neeraj Goud – Obituary
Panjala Neeraj Goud, 23, tragically passed away after a car accident early Monday morning in West Haven. The crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Derby Avenue when the driver of a Hyundai Elantra lost control on a slick road and struck a parked police cruiser.
According to Sgt. Scott Allard of the West Haven Police Department, the officer inside the cruiser, a six-year veteran of the force, sustained injuries and has since been discharged from the hospital. However, the officer is not expected to return to duty in the near future.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remains hospitalized. Authorities have not disclosed the names of the driver or the injured officer.
