Adam Morres dies in fatal Albuquerque shooting
Fatal Albuquerque shooting death of Adam Morres – Obituary
Adam Morres, 24, passed away after being fatally shot in Albuquerque on August 22, 2024. Federal authorities have arrested two suspects, 23-year-old Katherine Silas and 27-year-old Samanta Villalba, in connection with his death.
The incident occurred early in the morning at 516 Hermosa Drive SE. Officers found Morres in the driver’s seat of a silver Toyota with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later. The shooting happened just hours after Morres was released from jail.
Investigators allege that Silas and Villalba, both believed to be involved in drug trafficking, were angry at Morres over a perceived betrayal. They say Morres had contacted Villalba before his arrest, asking her to send someone to retrieve his belongings, including his phone. Police traced the phone and determined Villalba had it leading up to the murder.
Both Silas and Villalba have been charged with murder and tampering with evidence. The investigation into the circumstances of Morres’s death remains ongoing.
