Alexia Rosales, a 22-year-old teacher, was tragically killed on December 19, 2024, in a car crash at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool. The incident occurred after a holiday performance at the facility, located near the Interstate 10 West Frontage Road.
Reports indicate that a parent accelerated into another car, causing both vehicles to hit a fence, where several children and a faculty member were nearby. Rosales was pinned under the car and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Five children, all around the age of one, and a second teacher, 23, were taken to a local hospital. The conditions of the children varied.
Authorities do not suspect intoxication or criminal intent, but a medical history may have played a role in the crash. The ExcellED Montessori community is mourning the loss, offering counseling services, and supporting Rosales’ family during this difficult time.
