Fatal Bois Forte hit-and-run death of Amanda Boshey – Obituary.

Amanda Boshey, 38, tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident on Lake Vermilion Reservation Road near Fortune Bay on December 19, 2024. The mother of five and member of the Bois Forte Band was struck while traveling, and the driver fled the scene.

Amanda was known for her infectious smile and sense of humor, and she was a dedicated laborer for Whitebird Services. She had recently made significant strides in her recovery, approaching three years of sobriety in January, something she deeply cherished.

Amanda’s children were the center of her life, and she was committed to helping them, even through tough times. A fund will be established to support her children following this devastating loss. The FBI has identified a person of interest in the investigation.
