Barbara Dyer dies in fatal Stonington crash
Fatal Stonington crash death of Barbara Dyer – Obituary
Barbara Dyer, 78, of North Franklin, Connecticut, tragically passed away following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 North in Stonington earlier this year.
The accident occurred in January when a car rear-ended another vehicle, causing a chain reaction that involved a third car. The impact sent one vehicle into a ditch and caused the car responsible for the crash to roll over and also land in a ditch. Dyer, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
On Wednesday, a man in his 20s from Rhode Island turned himself in to authorities in connection with the crash. He faces charges including misconduct with a motor vehicle and failure to drive at a reasonable distance. He is being held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 8.
