Authorities have confirmed that Dalton K. Thomas, 31, of Topeka, was the victim of a deadly hit-and-run incident in North Topeka. The announcement was made by police spokesperson Rosie Nichols following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
On December 13, officers were dispatched to an area near North Topeka Boulevard and Northwest Elm Row Avenue in response to a report of an unresponsive man. Upon arrival, police found Thomas suffering from critical injuries. Medical personnel later pronounced him dead.
No further information about the case has been released by authorities as of Thursday. Investigations are ongoing.
