Hans Shultz, 68, lost his life in a tragic collision involving a moped and another vehicle in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred Monday evening around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Hope Mills Road and Popular Drive.
Authorities reported that Shultz, who was operating the moped, was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, Jeffrey Davidson, 51, of Fayetteville, turned himself in to the Traffic Unit at the Cumberland County Detention Center in connection with the crash.
Davidson, who was uninjured and remained at the scene after the accident, has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
