Fatal Cayce pedestrian vs. vehicle incident death of Joyce P. Backman – Obituary
Joyce P. Backman, 91, of Cayce, South Carolina, tragically passed away after being involved in a pedestrian versus vehicle accident on December 18. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 2400 block of Charleston Highway. Backman and the driver of another vehicle had exited their cars following a collision when they were struck by a third vehicle. She was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the third vehicle was unharmed and remained at the scene. The City of Cayce Police Department and Lexington County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident.
