Fatal NE Houston nightclub shooting death of King Randle, 16 – Obituary

King Randle, a 16-year-old teenager, was tragically killed during a shooting at a makeshift nightclub in northeast Houston on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. at a building on Jensen Drive, near the Eastex Freeway. Police described the scene as chaotic, with a large crowd of mostly juveniles fleeing in all directions.

 

Investigators reported that six individuals were shot in total, two of whom succumbed to their injuries. In addition to Randle, 14-year-old Azirya Bankhead was also killed. The incident occurred during a pop-up party organized through social media, commonly referred to as a “last-minute” event.

 

Randle’s family confirmed his identity on Monday, remembering him as a loving, respectful, and intelligent young man who had a passion for music, nature, and healthy living. His mother described him as someone who meditated daily, embraced nature, and was loved by his teachers.

 

The shooting also left four other victims, aged 13 to 19, injured, with one still in critical condition. Police are investigating the incident, but no suspects have been identified. They encourage anyone with information or footage from the event to contact Crime Stoppers.
