Linda Mae Cox, 79, tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident in Anderson County, South Carolina, on Thursday afternoon, December 19, 2024.
The crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. as Cox was driving east on River Street. Her vehicle veered off the road, colliding with several trees and an embankment. According to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, Cox was unrestrained at the time of the accident and was the sole occupant in the car.
Authorities noted that she was on her way home and was only two miles from her residence when the crash occurred.
