Mary Peterson, an 86-year-old resident of Willard, Missouri, has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash that occurred on December 19, 2024, in Springfield. The incident took place around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Grand and West Bypass.
Police report that Peterson was traveling southbound on West Bypass when she turned into the eastbound lane of Grand. As she turned, a Dodge Caliber collided with her vehicle. The impact caused a third vehicle to crash while trying to avoid the collision. The drivers of the Dodge Caliber sustained injuries.
