Fatal Birmingham shooting death of Reginald Crenshaw – Obituary
A 69-year-old man, Reginald Crenshaw, was fatally shot in the North Titusville neighborhood of Birmingham on the evening of December 19. Authorities were alerted to gunfire around 7:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Third Avenue South, near Washington Elementary School.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Crenshaw lying unresponsive in the front yard of a vacant home. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner later identified him as Crenshaw, a Birmingham resident.
Investigators believe Crenshaw had been inside the unoccupied house at 224 Third Avenue South with a group when an argument broke out with another man, who then shot him before fleeing. Police have yet to make any arrests in the case.
Authorities have been canvassing the area for potential witnesses, though some individuals found at the scene were too shaken to provide information. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them or CrimeStoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
