Fatal Freeport crash claims the life of Barbara Martin – Obituary.

Barbara Martin, 73, of Freeport, was tragically killed on Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing North Main Street near Stevens Street, police reported.

 

According to authorities, a 2014 Lincoln collided with Martin as she was crossing the road. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after the accident.

 

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

 

The incident remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
