Robert Castillo, a 45-year-old sergeant with the Webb County Sheriff’s Office, succumbed to his injuries nearly a month after a serious motorcycle crash in Laredo. The accident occurred in the 2300 block of Bob Bullock Loop, where first responders found Castillo unresponsive and severely injured.
The Laredo Police Department’s preliminary findings suggest Castillo lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a cement barrier. Following the crash, Castillo was transported to San Antonio for treatment but passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
