Fatal Oak Park shooting death of Dennis Robinson – Obituary
Authorities have confirmed that Dennis Robinson, 49, was the victim of a shooting Saturday night at an independent living facility in San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood.
San Diego Police officers responded to a call around 10:24 p.m. reporting a shooting incident at 3133 54th Street near Redwood Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Robinson with a gunshot wound to his torso inside the facility. Despite immediate life-saving efforts on-site and at a nearby hospital, Robinson succumbed to his injuries.
At the time of the incident, nine people were inside the facility, and investigators are interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting. Security footage from the area is also being collected for further review.
