Fatal Portland wrong-way crash death of John Andersson – Obituary

A 59-year-old Portland man has been identified as the victim of a tragic crash on I-84 Saturday morning. John Andersson was driving a Subaru Forester eastbound in the westbound lanes near milepost 25 in Multnomah County when he collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Rav4.

 

Andersson was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Toyota driver and passenger sustained only minor injuries. The crash caused significant traffic disruption, with the highway being closed for about three hours during the investigation.
