Fatal Phoenix car crash death of Alex Verdugo III – Obituary
Alex Verdugo III, 41, tragically lost his life early Saturday morning after his vehicle collided with a tree in Phoenix, Arizona.
Authorities responded to the accident near 39th Avenue and Thomas Road around 2:30 a.m. They discovered a pickup truck that had overturned after striking a tree. Emergency responders found Verdugo inside the vehicle with severe injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators reported that Verdugo was driving westbound on Thomas Road when his truck suddenly veered off course and hit the tree.
The roadway was temporarily closed while detectives worked to determine the cause of the crash. It has since been reopened as the investigation continues.
