Fatal Canton shooting death of Devantae Johnson – Obituary
A 20-year-old man, identified as Devantae Johnson, was fatally shot at the Canton Estates Apartment Complex just after noon. Authorities say Johnson was shot twice and found lying face down inside the complex’s gate.
He was in the area visiting friends when the tragic event occurred. Police are searching for 24-year-old Tyrese Dixon for questioning in connection with the incident.
This marks the eighth homicide in Canton this year. Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Canton Police or CrimeStoppers.
