A deadly confrontation in Mount Pritchard has led to the murder charge of a 42-year-old man, Edgar Campos, after a long-standing disagreement over a gum tree.
The incident occurred after Michael Wickham, 60, reportedly drove into his neighbour’s driveway and a physical altercation ensued. Surveillance footage appears to show Wickham heading toward Campos’ house before being overpowered and pinned to the ground in a headlock.
Investigators claim that Wickham suffocated while trapped on the driveway for several minutes. Despite efforts to summon emergency help, Wickham could not be revived. Campos has been arrested and charged with murder.
