On December 15, 2024, a tragic crash on the eastbound I-10 Freeway in Rialto claimed the lives of four members of a High Desert family.
Edgar Rodriguez, 35, of Victorville, was driving the Toyota Camry when it veered off the road, struck a tree stump, and caught fire. He was killed along with his father, Ramiro Rodriguez, 60, his mother, Maria Benitez Ramos, 62, and his girlfriend, Melinda Perez, 44. Despite efforts from passers-by to rescue them from the burning vehicle, all four victims died at the scene.
The community has expressed its grief over the loss of these individuals, remembered as beloved family members and friends.
