Fatal Baldwin County deputy-involved shooting death of Logan Tyler Swanson – Obituary
Logan Tyler Swanson, 24, of Foley, was killed in a deputy-involved shooting on Sunday evening after a traffic stop on the Baldwin Beach Express.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office reported that a physical altercation occurred between Swanson and two deputies.
After verbal commands were issued for Swanson to comply, he pulled out a firearm, prompting one of the deputies to open fire. Swanson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both deputies involved were unharmed and placed on administrative leave as part of standard procedure.
The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit is conducting an independent investigation, but further details have not been released.
