Three people were tragically found stabbed to death in a Baldwin Park home just after Christmas, with a 23-year-old family member arrested on suspicion of murder.
The victims were identified as Rona Nate, 44, Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16, and Mia Chantelle Narvaez, 8, by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Police arrived at the home on Bogart Avenue around 7 p.m. Thursday after a 911 call reported a disturbance.
Neighbors described hearing a young girl crying for help and urging someone to call 911, claiming her brother had stabbed their mother. Upon arrival, officers found the victims with multiple stab wounds.
The suspect attempted to flee but was later apprehended after crashing nearby. Investigators have not yet disclosed details about the family relationships or a potential motive, but the case is under review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
