Fatal Elyria house fire death of Watu Brown Jr. – Obituary

Watu Brown Jr., a 29-year-old man from Elyria, tragically lost his life in a fire that consumed his home on Christmas Eve. The fire broke out around 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Brandston Avenue, damaging two neighboring homes in the process.

Firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames, with the fire melting the sides of nearby homes. While no one else was injured, Brown was found dead in a bedroom after crews searched the house. Authorities believe the fire was accidental, and an investigation is ongoing.
