Fatal Waterbury car crash death of Andrea Sherman – Obituary
Andrea Sherman, 46, of Waterbury, tragically lost her life early Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on Baldwin Street. The crash, which occurred around 3:15 a.m., involved a 2013 Dodge Dart, a 2018 Ford EcoSport, and a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to police reports.
Ms. Sherman was a passenger in the Dodge Dart, driven by a 47-year-old New Haven man who sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. Two 22-year-old males from Waterbury, traveling in the Ford EcoSport, were also hospitalized with severe injuries.
Authorities noted that the occupants of the Jeep Grand Cherokee fled the scene before officers arrived and remain unidentified. It is unclear whether anyone in the Jeep was injured.
During the incident, the A&W Grocery Store on Baldwin Street sustained minor damage but was deemed safe for occupancy by the building inspector.
