Caley R. Wilson, a 34-year-old resident of Concordia, Kansas, lost her life following a severe rollover crash discovered in a rural field. Emergency responders were alerted to the scene near 260th and Union Road, approximately 10 miles northeast of Concordia, around 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 29.
Authorities reported that Wilson was traveling north in her 2008 Kia Sorento when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle veered into the east ditch. Upon striking a field entrance, the SUV became airborne, collided with an REA post, and ultimately landed in a field. The car overturned several times before coming to rest on its roof.
First responders pronounced Wilson deceased at the scene. She was found wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. The exact timing of the accident remains unclear and is part of an ongoing investigation.
