Fatal Bessemer hit-and-run death of Darren Dewayne Amison – Obituary
Darren Dewayne Amison, a 57-year-old resident of Bessemer, Alabama, lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run incident early on the morning of December 28. Amison was walking along 8th Avenue North when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:54 a.m., as confirmed by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The driver involved fled the scene, and the Bessemer Police Department is currently conducting an investigation to determine the events leading up to the fatal collision.
