Fatal Greenville go-kart accident claims the life of Kamel Seveion Sewell – Obituary
Kamel Seveion Sewell, a 17-year-old employee from Simpsonville, tragically lost his life in an accident at Frankie’s Fun Park in Greenville, South Carolina, on Friday. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office reported that Sewell died from blunt force trauma to the head after the go-kart he was operating collided with an industrial forklift.
The forklift, which was also being operated by an employee, was involved in what has been ruled an accidental incident. Authorities received a 911 call about the collision at 11:43 a.m. on Friday.
Sewell was remembered by coworkers as a cheerful and hospitable individual who was well-liked by guests and colleagues alike. “He always had a smile on his face and was friendly to everyone,” one coworker shared, lamenting that the tragic event could have been prevented.
The incident remains under investigation.
