Paul Spencer dies in fatal Burlington house fire

Fatal Burlington house fire death of Paul Spencer – Obituary.

Paul Spencer, a 60-year-old resident of Burlington, has passed away from injuries sustained in a house fire early Sunday morning. Burlington Fire and Police Departments, along with other agencies, are continuing to investigate the cause of the tragic incident.

 

On December 29, around 4:08 a.m., emergency services were alerted by a passerby who reported a fire at 16 Evelyn Street. Responding crews encountered flames pouring from the roof of the residence.

 

A Burlington Police officer entered the home and found Spencer unconscious. The officer managed to pull him out, and Burlington Fire personnel transported him to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. Despite their efforts, Spencer later succumbed to his injuries.

 

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will confirm the official cause of death. Meanwhile, the investigation into the origin of the fire is ongoing, with involvement from the Burlington Fire Department, Burlington Police, Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, and Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
