Fatal Oakdale car crash death of Steven McDonald – Obituary
Steven McDonald, a 63-year-old resident of Coram, New York, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night in Oakdale. The incident occurred on eastbound Sunrise Highway between Exit 48 and Exit 49 at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to Suffolk County police.
Wayne Griffith, a 60-year-old from Medford, was driving a 2011 BMW 550 when the collision took place. McDonald, who was in the roadway, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office. Griffith was unharmed in the crash, and the vehicle has been impounded for a safety inspection.
