Fatal Key Largo boat crash death of Sydney Cole – Obituary
Sydney Cole, 24, from North Carolina, lost her life in a tragic boating accident near the Florida Keys on Friday night. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), a speedboat carrying four individuals collided with a sailboat while navigating through Buttonwood Sound, north of Key Largo.
The impact caused all four passengers to be thrown into the water. Authorities reported that three individuals were rescued with injuries, but Sydney Cole was found deceased after a coordinated search effort involving the U.S. Coast Guard, the National Park Service, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators are currently working to determine the exact cause of the collision.
