Eric Green dies in fatal Simpson County motorcycle crash
Fatal Simpson County motorcycle crash death of Eric Green – Obituary.
Eric Green, a 33-year-old resident of Bowling Green, Kentucky, tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday, December 29, 2024. The accident occurred at approximately 7:27 p.m. on Nashville Road (U.S. 31 W) near the Flying J Travel Center in Franklin, according to the Kentucky State Police (KSP).
Preliminary investigations revealed that Green was riding a 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Nashville Road when a 2020 Kenworth commercial truck, driven by Nugusse Yonathan, 29, of Burien, Washington, exited the travel center and entered his path. The collision resulted in Green being pronounced dead at the scene by the Simpson County Coroner.
The truck driver was not injured in the incident. Trooper Grant Roberson is leading the ongoing investigation, with assistance from local emergency services and law enforcement agencies.
