James Engle dies in fatal Windsor highway crash

Fatal Windsor highway crash death of James Engle – Obituary

James Engle, 60, of Ellington, Connecticut, passed away following a car crash on the Route 20 East connector to Interstate 91 North in Windsor early Tuesday morning.

 

The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when Engle’s vehicle veered off the right shoulder of the ramp, entered a grassy area, and collided with a road sign and two trees, according to state police. Engle was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

 

The Connecticut State Police are actively investigating the crash. They have asked anyone with dash cam footage or information regarding the incident to contact Trooper Kaitlyn DeMaio at 860-534-1098 or email kaitlyn.demaio@ct.gov.
