Janderver Urbina-Betancourt dies in fatal Arlington nightclub shooting

Fatal Arlington nightclub shooting death of Janderver Urbina-Betancourt – Obituary

Janderver Urbina-Betancourt, 22, lost his life in a shooting outside a nightclub on the 3200 block of Justiss Drive in Arlington on November 17. The incident, which occurred around 5:25 a.m., began with an argument in the parking lot between Urbina-Betancourt and another individual. Moments later, shots were fired, fatally striking Urbina-Betancourt.

Witness accounts and collected evidence led police to identify 28-year-old Luigin Alberto Perez-Millan as the suspect. Detectives stated that Perez-Millan began firing for reasons yet to be determined, aiming at both Urbina-Betancourt and the other individual involved in the dispute. The second person was unharmed and later identified Perez-Millan during a police photo lineup.

On December 28, U.S. Marshals and Nebraska State Police apprehended Perez-Millan during a traffic stop in Seward County, Nebraska, roughly 620 miles from the shooting site. He was taken into custody without incident and faces charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Perez-Millan remains in Nebraska awaiting extradition to Texas.

Authorities have not discovered any prior connection between Perez-Millan and Urbina-Betancourt, nor evidence of interaction between them before the shooting.
