Karen Davis, a 62-year-old resident of Huntley, lost her life in a single-vehicle collision in Addison on Christmas morning.
Authorities reported that Davis was traveling northbound on Villa Avenue near Lake Street around 9:30 a.m. when her vehicle swerved into the southbound lanes, left the roadway, and struck both a utility pole and a junction box.
Emergency responders transported Davis to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but she succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
An initial autopsy revealed that Davis’s death resulted from multiple traumatic injuries sustained during the crash, in which her SUV collided with a stationary object.
