Fatal Woodland Hills police shooting death of Benjamin Prince Bradley – Obituary
Benjamin Prince Bradley, 47, was fatally shot by Los Angeles police officers following an exchange of gunfire at the Vantage Point Inn in Woodland Hills on Sunday night. The incident took place around 10:15 p.m. when officers responded to a report of an armed suspect involved in vandalism.
Upon encountering Bradley, who allegedly produced two firearms and opened fire on officers, a police-involved shooting ensued. Bradley retreated, but after returning with one weapon, he fired again before fleeing into the motel. A perimeter was set, and after refusing to surrender, Bradley was found deceased at the bottom of a stairwell when SWAT officers entered the building.
Police recovered two loaded firearms at the scene, which were booked as evidence. No officers were injured in the incident, and the LAPD’s Force Investigation Division is continuing the inquiry into the shooting.
