Fatal Park Forest shooting deaths of Lillian Brown and Sabrina McCain – Obituaries

Lillian Brown, 51, and her daughter, Sabrina McCain, 30, were tragically shot and killed inside a home on Miami Street in Park Forest, Illinois, on December 26. The shooting occurred while two children were present in the residence, though they were unharmed.

Police have arrested Coleman Franklin, who faces two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities confirmed that the attack was not random and that Franklin knew both victims.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots just after 6 p.m. and forced entry into the home, discovering the two women unresponsive. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The children were taken to a hospital for observation and released.

Neighbors described Brown as a quiet, hardworking woman devoted to her family and home. Dyrece Boyd, a neighbor, expressed sorrow over the tragedy, especially for the children who lost their mother and grandmother.
