A plane crash in Adams County, Ohio, on Monday claimed the life of a 46-year-old Michigan man, identified by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as Robert Harris Coles from Vicksburg, Michigan. Coles was piloting a 1960 twin-engine Cessna 310D when the aircraft crashed in a wooded area near Savage Road in Bratton Township around 3 p.m.
Coles was the sole occupant of the plane and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities from both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
