Police in Bessemer have reported the death of 65-year-old Elijah Mack Jr., who was fatally shot on New Year’s Day.
Officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at a home in the 800 block of 24th Street North around 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Mack inside the residence, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
