Fatal Stockton shooting death of Latoya Scrivens – Obituary
Latoya Scrivens, a 47-year-old Stockton resident, was tragically killed in a shooting on New Year’s Day. Authorities responded to a call around 11 a.m. on Gareth Circle, where Scrivens was discovered with a gunshot wound.
She was transported to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
Police identified the suspect as her 20-year-old son, Jkwon Williams, who was located and taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Williams has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of voluntary manslaughter and weapons offenses.
The Stockton Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.
