Fatal Sullivan County pedestrian crash death of Stacy Ratcliffe – Obituary
Stacy Ratcliffe, a 53-year-old from Sullivan County, tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 81 North late on New Year’s Eve. The accident occurred around 11:34 p.m. when Ratcliffe was walking in the far right lane of the highway near mile marker 74.4. A 2017 GMC Yukon traveling north on the interstate hit her.
Despite efforts to respond quickly, Ratcliffe was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the GMC was not charged in connection with the incident.
