Fatal Kansas City street racing crash deaths of Verne and Diane Zugenbuhler – Obituary
Verne Zugenbuhler, 91, and Diane Zugenbuhler, 72, tragically lost their lives Monday during an illegal street race in south Kansas City, Missouri.
According to police, the crash occurred at the intersection of Wornall Road and Carondelet Drive. A black Chrysler 300, involved in a high-speed race with a silver Dodge that began near West 99th Street and Wornall Road, struck the Zugenbuhlers’ car as they attempted to turn.
The driver of the Chrysler 300 sustained injuries in the collision, while no information has been released regarding the silver Dodge’s driver.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
