Fatal Hillsborough shooting death of Zikera Wardlow and De’Anthony Letrelle Morgan – Obituary
Early Monday morning, authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of 16-year-old Zikera Wardlow from Hillsborough and 20-year-old De’Anthony Letrelle Morgan from LaGrange in a parked car near Old N.C. Highway 86. The incident, believed to have occurred the night prior, has left the community in shock.
Police were alerted to the scene at approximately 6:45 a.m. on December 30, 2024. A 911 caller reported the situation, mentioning they found a young woman lying outside the vehicle, with the car’s engine running and one of its doors ajar.
The caller also noted hearing gunshots the previous evening but assumed law enforcement was already on the scene due to visible blue lights near the Dodge Charger where the victims were found.
