Fatal Choctaw County car crash deaths of Adrian Guerrero Hernandez and Juan De La Cruz Rosales – Obituary
A tragic accident on Christmas Day in Choctaw County claimed the lives of 32-year-old Adrian Guerrero Hernandez and 47-year-old Juan De La Cruz Rosales, both from Sweetwater. The crash occurred around 1:25 p.m. on Alabama 10, approximately six miles east of Butler.
According to Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney, the Chevrolet Silverado they were riding in veered off the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Neither of the victims was wearing a seatbelt, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 27-year-old Jesus Arvizu Otero, sustained injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for medical care. Two other passengers, Saul Arvizu Garcia, 30, and Guillermo Guerrero Hernandez, 53, were also injured and taken to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the cause of the crash.
