Fatal Pennsylvania pedestrian accident death of Barbara Micker – Obituary

Barbara Micker, 79, from Dillonvale, Ohio, tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Route 19 in Peters Township on Christmas Day. The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. on December 25, when Barbara, alongside her 43-year-old daughter, was crossing the road near the 2800 block of Washington Road. While Barbara was struck and suffered fatal injuries, her daughter remained unharmed.

 

Barbara was transported by ambulance to St. Clair Hospital in Mt. Lebanon, where she died from blunt force trauma to her head, trunk, and limbs, as confirmed by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver, a 73-year-old man, stopped at a nearby gas station and cooperated with the police. Investigators reported no signs of impairment and classified the incident as an accident.

 

The family has since set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with funeral expenses, which has garnered nearly $2,000 in donations. The fundraiser page highlights the emotional toll the family is experiencing after such a sudden loss.
