Darius Marquis Knight-Anderson, 24, was fatally shot on the afternoon of January 2, 2025, in the 3800 block of Central Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Greensboro Police Department, along with firefighters and EMS, responded to reports of a shooting around 4:58 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Knight-Anderson in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide is under investigation, with forensic investigators processing the crime scene. Police have not yet released any information about a potential suspect. This tragic incident marks the second homicide of the year in Greensboro.
